Today we had our EIR lesson during this Add/Drop week. It has been an easy-going session mainly comprising of ice-breaking activities using social media tools. Glad to note that the students have initiated their friendship via Facebook and Twitter. EIR started on a happy note for everyone. Keep up your enthusiasm for the following weeks to come!

A warm welcome to all of you!
Get ready for a semester of exciting activities around the awesome world of Internet. EIR gets you researching for quality web resources using search techniques and strategies, reflect about your research experiences uisng blogs and twitter and collaborating with others with similar research interests using wikis discussion forums.
You will also get to shop and go on your dream holidays using 3D avatar and animations via Second Life.
Oh, one more thing...in EIR we not only use the computer to learn and discuss, we also do the good-old face-to-face thought-provoking discussions of interesting Internet topics.
Look forward to meeting all of you.
