Dear all Design Block 8 Students,
We have come to the end of our EIR journey on Fri 30 Jan 2009. Thank you for all your participation in the EIR class activities throughout the 1-month duration of the Design Block 8 of this subject. I am privileged to be hearing your interesting Blog presentations and reading your Portfolio submissions. I will certainly enjoy reading your exciting Blog reflections and group Wikis. Though I am privileged to teach and interact with P03 students, I am sure that I would similarly enjoy teaching and sharing interesting EIR moments with all of you interesting batch of Design students. Well done all!
As a final close to the EIR chapter for Design Block 8, I invite all of you to spend 1-minute of your time to autograph a meaningful & inspirational comment/remark about EIR in the comments column of this EIR blog.
Remember to use what you had learnt in EIR when you are doing research for your other projects in your respective Diplomas. Till we meet again in other encounters, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Best regards,
Faridah EIR Subject Leader and Tutor

The lesson on evaluating Youtube is very enriching and fun. I had the opportunity to share with students my meaningful learning experience with Youtube. The videos provided on Youtube has enabled me to find our more about the amazing professional life of the King of Rock n Roll Elvis Presley including his sad love story. Although he passed away in 1977, his legacy remains till today. Elvis's fans all over the world continue to celebrate in a grand way his birthday and death annivesary. Elvis’s great passion for his career, love and music has taught me many lessons in my life.
It is also through watching Youtube videos that I learnt about the amazing story of Nick who continues to touch me and inspire me with his video entitled “
No hands, No Legs, No Worries”…Nick’s passion to live an independent life reminds me always to remember to count my blessings.
The intent look on my students’ faces as they silently watch these videos tells me that they too have been affected in one way or another, by the stories told in these videos.
It is heartening to note my students’ enthusiasm when they presented their views about the impact of Youtube on their lives as they cheerfully shared with their fellow classmates the interesting and funny videos that made their learning of evaluating Youtube so fun and enjoyable.

Talking cock.com never fail to entertain us. Just like previous batches of students, our class today was filled with fun and laughter as students evaluated talkingcock.com and commented on the numerous jokes and hilarious contents of this website. This is one of the best part of my teaching job - to be able to share such lighted-hearted moments with my students especially after the serious activity we had last week evaluating search facilities. It felt grand to be laughing together with students while watching the hilarious videos about Singapore and Singaporeans. This website is like a virtual avenue for Singaporeans to voice out their frustrations in a very relaxing manner.
